Abstract. Arivo D, Mubarik NR, Rusmana I, Batubara I. 2023. Antioxidant activity of various solvent extracts from endophytic bacteria isolated girang (Leea indica) leaves. Biodiversitas 24: 415-422. Girang is one the medicinal plants with bioactive compounds that act as an antioxidant. However, isolating these need a significant amount biomass. Endophytic can be good solution to produce same their host. This study determined whether potential isolate produces high antioxidant in solvents, phytochemical screening, determination total flavonoid and phenolic contents, identification isolate. The BT4 was L. indica supernatant extracted fractionated extraction. using DPPH assay. Folin-Ciocalteu aluminum chloride colorimetric methods analyzed content. identified 16S rRNA method. best IC50 obtained n-butanol extract value 59.021±0.541 ?g/mL. contents have 4.686±0.476 mgQE/g 31.406±0.716 mgGAE/g extract, respectively. contained flavonoids, saponin, tannins, terpenoids, steroids identical Bacillus tequilensis 99% similarity. revealed leaves could source novel natural compound.

Antioxidant activity of secondary metabolites and mycelium extracts of endophytic fungi isolated from Astragalus monadelphus

13 strains of endophytic fungi were isolated from Astragalus monadelphus. The radical scavenging activity assay of secondary metabolites and mycelium extracts from these strains were investigated. Results showed that secondary metabolites and mycelium extracts from these strains had significant antioxidant activities. Reducing ability of H401 strain mycelium extracts were stronger than the ethy...
